Your tasks

  • The Mikron Mill Supervisor position is a combination of Field Service duties and Regional Supervisory duties. The Mikron Mill Supervisor is expected to spend at least 40% of their time in the field. This time will include management-level customer visits, technician field training, and, if necessary, billable service calls.
  • Monitor the scheduling of the service engineers and coordinate with the Mikron Mill Service Manager to optimize and continuously improve the productivity of the field service activities.
  • Facilitate the installation and service of machines and associated products and equipment, corrective maintenance of tasks of a high degree of complexity.
  • Communicate any new or recurring customer problems or situations to the Technical Support team.
  • Provide assistance to less experienced Field Service Engineers with the installation of machines and/or equipment.
  • Coordinate training for both Field Service Engineers and customers on the safe operations and preventative maintenance of the machines and related equipment as necessary.
  • Establish good customer relationships and provide a communication link between the customer and the company to help ensure that effective service is provided. Travel for business purposes and technical repair as needed.
  • Monitor overhead, including FSE overtime and travel expenses, to align with budget. Accurately complete all reports in a timely manner as per the service department procedures.
  • Suggest changes in working conditions to improve efficiency, performance, and quality of customer services.
  • Maintain regular contact with the Service management, Field Service Engineers, Sales Managers, Distributors as situations arise.
  • Promote, monitor & optimize the sales of the preventive maintenance program. Additionally, promote aftermarket products, such as wire, filters, etc. to customers.
  • Coordinate training for the employees in the assigned region.
  • Other duties may be assigned. Complete additional responsibilities as requested by the Mikron Mill Service Manager or Head of Customer Care.

Your profile

  • Associate degree and formal mechanical and/or electrical training and experience, in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with the use of test equipment and in-depth knowledge of 5-axis mililng machines and related products.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Systems, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Great Plains or similar software program.
