In a context of Job creation, we are hiring a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for the Canadian market.
You will be a field based, non-commercial scientific expert who bridges the gap between Tillotts Canada and the Canadian medical community, in line with the company’s strategy and the Medical Affairs Team, based in Europe.
This includes engaging in peer-to-peer scientific exchange with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), to ensure the safe and effective use of therapies relevant to the current Tillotts portfolio focused in Gastroenterology, as well as future pipeline opportunities.

Your key responsibilities
- As a new company entering the Canadian marketplace, build and maintain long-term peer-to-peer relationships with prominent Canadian physicians, researchers and specialists
- Respond to unsolicited medical / scientific inquiries with unbiased, evidence-based data
- Systematically collect and analyze medical and clinical practice feedback from the field. Synthesize this data to inform Tillotts Canadian medical strategy, evidence generation plans and pipeline development, KOL mapping
- Ensure the follow-up of the medical plan execution
- Contribute to the Medical launch readiness
- Serve as a core scientific resource for internal Canadian Tillotts team. Act as the lead medical resource between Tillotts global medical affairs and the Canadian Tillotts affiliate
- Participate in national and provincial conference activity as key medical staff, cover sessions and execute or facilitate regional Advisory Board meetings
- Identify and evaluate potential clinical trial sites and investigators for company sponsored studies. Facilitate the review and progression of any Investigator Initiated Trials (ITTs)opportunities and sites
- Strict adherence to the Innovative Medicines Canada (IMC) code of ethical practices, ensuring MSL activities remain purely scientific and strictly separated from commercial promotion
- Strict compliance with regulations governing off-label information dissemination and drug approval pathways
- Report on activities using the tools provided and in accordance with company expectations (Veeva CRM, Insight reporting, Territory planning…)
Who you are
- Your education background: an advanced post graduate degree in Science (master’s degree / MSc or PharmD or PhD or MD)
- You have a solid therapeutic expertise. An experience in gastroenterology is preferred; candidates with experience in immunology, inflammation, or related specialty areas will also be considered
- You are acknowledged for your exceptional presentation abilities, a high degree of adaptability and your strong interpersonal skills
- You acquired an experience in Canada and can demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the Canadian healthcare system and the patient care pathway for chronic diseases as well as a knowledge of the innovative Medicines Canada (IMC) code of ethical practices
- You have at least one prior experience in a field-based role
- Bilingualism (English and French) is preferred for national coverage
- You are ideally based in Ontario (Toronto), ready to travel nationally and cover key centres across the country. Travel expected to be in the range of 40-50% of time
