This new position will report directly to the Head of Scientific Affairs and will work closely with senior management on high priority projects to achieve short and long-term objectives. Scientific, strategic and analytical capabilities are all key attributes for success in this role.

Your key responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate high-potential but not yet commercialized assets, investment opportunities and external non-dilutive funding opportunities
- Perform an appropriate due diligence on potential assets, including analyzing financial statements, business models, product-market fit, and growth potential
- Build financial models/business cases to evaluate investment returns and risk factors
- Collaborate with Market Access,International Marketing and similar functions at our parent company in Tokyo in the assessment and ongoing evaluation of pipeline assets
- Build and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs and industry experts
- Stay informed about Pharma market dynamics, competitive landscape and trends and provide insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders
Who you are
- Advanced degree (MBA. PhD) in Finance, Business or related field
- Insight-driven (7+) years of experience in similar positions in the pharmaceutical industry with a good network
- Experience in active lead of evaluations in corporate development partnering processes and transactions as well as portfolio planning and analyses in a similar position
- Deep analytical mindset and the ability to provide analytical insights
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, persuasive power and hands-on approach
- Structured, focused and well-organized working attitude with a good sense of humour
- Fluent in English (written and spoken), good command of German is desirable
- Willingness to travel (20%)
- Understanding of the Japanese market, business and culture
