Quality Engineer - Level 1 (m/f/d)

Your Responsibilities:

  • Actively maintain the Quality Management System in compliance with ISO 9001
  • Lead cross-functional teams to create and update Process Control
  • Plans/Manufacturing Process Plans, FMEAs, and Process Masters
  • Initiate and coordinate follow-up activity on Corrective/Preventive Actions (CAR/PAR)
  • Coordinate activity related to Claims and Non-Conforming Product including processing the required internal and external documentation
  • Review Heat Treatment nonconformances and disposition for retesting or reprocessing
  • Review Material Test Reports for compliance to order specifications and submit to customers
  • All other duties assigned

Your Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required;Metallurgy or other Engineering discipline preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role required
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, ISO 9001: 2015 required
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills required
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point required
  • Experience with ferrous metallurgy and heat treatment in manufacturing preferred
  • Familiarity interacting with databases such as manufacturing operations management and customer relationship management systems (MOM/CRM) preferred
  • Experience with First Article/PPAP, CAR/PAR and KPI tracking methodologies preferred
