A Forge/Heat Treat Helper is an introductory position in which the individual will learn and demonstrate basic skills of safety, forging, heat treating, and housekeeping.

Your assignment:

  • Operate remote controlled overhead cranes
  • Operate PITS
  • Sweep, shovel, and perform other housekeeping tasks
  • Mark items with correct work order numbers by stamp and paint marker
  • Assist Forge & Heat Treat production crews and fill in as a crew member when required

Your background:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Dedication to working safely
  • Good corrected vision and hearing ability
  • Must be able to walk, climb, kneel, reach, and lift a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Good dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to work in an environment where dust may be present
  • Must be able to calculate weights of material to be moved
  • Must be able to use and read a take measure
  • Walk/work on and around uneven surfaces
  • Work from heights
  • Work in loud environments
  • Work variable schedules including nights and weekends
  • Industrial or manufacturing experience a plus
  • Overhead crane experience a plus
  • Forklift experience a plus
