Operations Controller 100%

Your Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Based in Galbiate, Italy, the Operations Controller reports directly to the Head of Corporate Controlling (solid line). Responsibilities will include the following but are not limited to:
  • Actual performance analyzing compared to budget and rolling forecast
  • Action statement – gap to close measures
  • Bill of Material (pre/post) analysis
  • Support for finance dept. (month closing / variance management)
  • Control and optimize business processes
  • Creation and updating of the process documentation
  • Setting of basic data and work preparation in PSI
  • Item & Product calculation including machine Pre & Post Calculation
  • Act as PSI & Business Application super user ASSMG
  • Participation in definition, conception, and timely implementation of Business & ICT projects
  • Monitoring, troubleshooting, and securing the infrastructure including the network
  • 1st level support for ICT infrastructure
  • Amongst others, the Operations Controller will interact with the following stakeholders on a regular basis:
  • CFO, SSM Group
  • Head of Controlling, SSM Group
  • Plant Manager, SSM Italy

Your Qualifications

  • In terms of the performance and personal competencies required for the position, we would highlight the following:
  • Degree in Business Administration or Business Information (Master level)
  • 3+ years’ work experience in an international manufacturing environment. Experience acquired in a Mechanical Engineering / Capital Goods / Automotive Supply Industry Company is an asset (especially machines with small series)
  • Substantiated professional experience with profit, goal and performance responsibility over a large part of the value creation chain in the technical industry in an international environment
  • Solid experience in change management in production (restructuring, cost saving, etc.)
  • Solid experience in Project Management (incl. agile Methods)
  • Experience in planning and controlling of an international production network
  • Strong communication skills and high-level English proficiency, German, or Mandarin is an advantage
