Head R&D Automation RAS (ROBOspin)

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced R&D Head Automation to join our RAS Engineered Solutions product unit at Rieter. The successful candidate will be key in leading the further development of the industries first automatic piecing robot “ROBOspin”.

Your Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of one of our key products in automation in alignment with other Product Units
  • Drive revenue growth and products specific goals while ensuring high quality of the product
  • Lead a multifunctional team (up to 10 employees)
  • Develop business cases and execution to further enhance the product
  • Manage team and project budgets and provide regular updates to senior leadership on the technical, business, and financial status of initiatives
  • Ensure a proper performance tracking of the product in the field and implement improvements in the existing product

Your Qualifications

  • University degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, Industrial Automation)
  • Desirable: experience in business management incl. P&L responsibility
  • Innovative and hand-on mentality
  • 3-5 years of experience in industrial engineering, preferable in automation products
  • 3-5 years of experience in leading a R&D team
  • Leadership experience in a matrix environment within a multinational company
  • Experience in building and developing teams to deliver results
  • Good communication skills in English and German language
  • Ability to develop compelling, fact-driven business cases and secure investment decisions from senior leadership
  • Willingness to globally travel up to 20%
