As a Software Testing Intern, you will support the verification of software for medical devices and gain practical experience in requirements-based testing, test implementation and test automation.
You will work closely with test engineers, software developers and system engineers to translate system and software requirements into meaningful test cases. Using TPT, you will create, execute and analyse tests, helping to identify issues, gaps, inconsistencies and unexpected system behaviour.
In addition, you will contribute to the improvement of our test environment and explore how AI can support the creation and automation of software tests.

Your main tasks
- Create and maintain test cases based on system and software requirements
- Ensure appropriate test coverage and traceability between requirements and test cases
- Implement and execute test cases using TPT
- Analyse requirements from a testing perspective and identify unclear, incomplete or inconsistent information
- Analyse test results and document issues, deviations and unexpected system behaviour
- Review and improve existing test cases, test coverage and test documentation
- Support the investigation and analysis of failed test cases
- Collaborate with test engineers, software developers and system engineers to clarify requirements and expected system behaviour
- Participate in test reviews and other verification activities
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of test assets, testing processes and the test environment
- Explore opportunities to use AI for test creation, test automation and testing efficiency
- Support additional testing and verification activities within the Project
Your profile
- Currently studying or recently graduated in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical, Engineering or a related discipline
- Basic knowledge of software testing principles and methodologies
- Basic understanding of requirements-based testing and software verification
- Basic programming knowledge and understanding of software logic
- Basic knowledge of Python is an advantage
- Basic knowledge of electronics or embedded systems is an advantage
- Previous experience with TPT or similar testing tools is an advantage, but not required
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to translate requirements into test scenarios and test cases
- Careful and attentive approach, with the ability to identify ambiguities, inconsistencies and potential edge cases
- Structured and systematic approach to problem-solving
- Willingness to learn new tools, technologies and testing methods
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within an engineering team
- Very good command of English; German is an advantage
