Research Engineer in Advanced Development Team

Research Engineer is responsible for developing prototypes, demos by implementing the ideas using state-of-the-art Deep-learning (DL) and Machine Learning (ML) framework with minimal guidance. The role demands hands on experience in coding mainly in Python and sometimes in C++ platform to develop the solution rapidly. He/she would be responsible for the delivery of his/her modules (such as developed ML or DL models), in time so the same can be consumed by the delivery team for further integration. The person should be able to work with cross functional teams and international colleagues to support global project delivery
  • Responsible for developing Deep-learning, Machine learning, Image processing and Computer Vision based algorithms and solutions / applications catering to the needs of organization.
  • Responsible for preparing fast prototypes and demos and present the same to the high-profile visitors, customers.
  • Co-work with international teams consisting of similar profile research engineers to co-develop a solution.
  • Co-work with student collaborator(s), faculty member for executing an academic collaboration.
  • Visit customers, understand their requirements and help development team to come up with the required changes, modification in the product / tool’s features.
  • Help developers to come up with tangible outputs for program team that helps to solve complex problems within the purview of advanced development.
  • Writing Invention Disclosure Form as part of patent process and quality research article that can be sent to national and international conferences and journals. This will be highly encouraged.
  • Help Research lead to prepare slides, materials, and ideate on new problem/idea or the function’s strategy and future scopes.
  • Propose new ideas in the preview of organizations’ vision and develop quick prototype for the same.

You are:

B.E/B.Tech or M.E/M.Tech or Ph. D. in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering with a specialization in Image processing, Computer Vision and Machine Learning is a must.
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in an organization is a must, apart from the academic experience.
  • Experience in developing image processing and computer vision algorithms and solutions.
  • Expertise in platforms like TensorFlow, Caffe for developing deep learning-based algorithm is a must.
  • Expertise in tools like MATLAB and scripting language like Python is a must.
  • Knowledge in handling Python libraries such as Numpy, Scipy, Matplotlib, Scikit-learn is a must.
  • Knowledge in programming languages like C/C++/C#/JAVA is desirable.
  • Strong problem solving, communication, and team working skills.
  • Medical domain experience is desired but not required.
  • Publication record in high profile peer-reviewed journals and conferences is desired
  • Experience working with Django / CSS is a plus.
