Cinema Sales Manager

ZEISS is seeking a Cinema Sales Manager based on the East Coast of the United States (New York Metropolitan area), to manage sales of ZEISS Cinema line of lenses including Compact Primes, Cinema Zooms, Lightweight Zoom, Supreme Primes and other products. The Cinema Sales Manager would also be responsible for new business opportunities.

The Cinema Sales Manager is a full-time salary position that also earns commission on sales.

This representative will report directly to the Head of Cinema Sales, Americas and support the sales, promotion, and demand generation of ZEISS cinema products in the specified region. The incumbent will be responsible for demonstration and visits, technical and sales support of ZEISS Cinema product, and is required to travel as needed to support trade shows, workshops and dealer events.

We are looking for people who are keen to try something new:

  • Manage key accounts, forecasts and build revenue in assigned territory
  • Provide technical information and training for full line of cinema products
  • Plan and execute demonstrations for Cinematographers, filmmakers, rental houses, dealers
  • Manages existing customers and seek out new ones in the assigned territory
  • Create presence for ZEISS Cinema in Greater NYC area and beyond, hold monthly events
  • Create and execute educational workshops and modules for film schools
  • Help create and execute presence at tradeshows and film festivals in assigned territory
  • Train dealers, close sales and provide post-sales support
  • Work with ZEISS marketing team to push assets and programs to customers

You are:

  • Must have college degree in cinema, sales or related field
  • Must have 5+ years of cinema sales experience
  • Must have 5+ years of cinema camera and lens experience
  • Has existing relationships with top tier camera rental houses
  • Has existing industry relationships with cinematographers and directors of photography
  • Knowledgeable and adaptable to ever-changing camera and lens technology and standards
  • Experienced in film and television production and practices
  • Has on-set experience and understands jargon and workflow
  • Cinematography and/or broadcast background required
  • Operationally versed, e.g. able to handle logistics for shows, events and workshops
  • Ability to handle cinema equipment and support tradeshows, conferences, workshops and the like
