Product Application & Presales Specialist

We are looking for people who are keen to try something new:

  • Map market/domain/function needs to Zeiss capabilities and competitor play, to create differentiation call-outs, key risks and create appropriate point of view to drive a healthy pipeline for product lines
  • Provide inputs on market and customer trends, competition, channel mix effectiveness etc. to enable sales strategy formulation for a new product line across the country
  • Gather market intelligence on customer needs, technology landscape, competitor play to drive Microscopy India’s product strategy and identify best pricing strategy
  • Drive right product positioning, pricing and promotion strategy in liaison with National Sales Manager to achieve assigned product sales
  • Evaluate prospective customer specifications and applications, to provide specific and cost effective microscopy solutions to enhance customer productivity
  • Expand relationships with existing/new customers through collaborative sales efforts to grow the product line
  • Provide pre-sales assistance, both technical and commercial to drive effective selling
  • Partner with internal teams to drive product differentiation through a deliberate customer education/awareness creation strategy
  • Conduct comprehensive demos for target customer base to drive better product awareness and penetration
  • Engage in periodic win-loss reviews of deals to identify ongoing improvements in order to make the selling process more effective
  • Create a storyboard for sales pitches, accentuating the micro differences to justify the delta price
  • Facilitate product education to sales team members to enhance their product knowledge
  • Provide application and after-sales support services as and when required to ensure customer satisfaction and adoption
  • Support product marketing campaigns and provide inputs to review its success on a periodic basis for course correction and continuous improvement interventions
  • Engage with key customers to gauge product specific feedback, to enable product/solution enhancements, trainings, etc.
  • Nurture healthy relationships with the Microscopy sales team through pre-sales support like demos, etc. to drive success through Zeiss products
  • Influence crucial customer decisions in favour of Zeiss India to enable long term association
  • Manage vendors on a case to case basis identified for particular applications (hardware as well as software) to meet customer specific needs
  • Interface with the Global Microscopy team to understand new products/ product upgrades and in turn share India market specific feedback to global Development
  • Follow a culture of continuous improvement and learning
  • Demonstrate a self-directed and high performance culture in the team

You are:

  • PhD / MSc in physics or photonics
  • 05-10 years experience
  • English & Hindi
