You will:

  • as part of the strategic procurement team at the development and production site for intraocular lenses in Berlin support the growth of the Consumables division
  • work closely with team colleagues at the sites in La Rochelle (France), Guangzhou (China) and Ontario (USA)
  • develop a global material group strategy and implement the derived measures, with a focus on cost optimization and risk minimization
  • in this context, analyze supplier markets worldwide, carry out tenders, qualify new suppliers, negotiate and conclude contracts with international suppliers, track and manage supplier performance
  • collaborate in industrialization projects and bring in procurement expertise, as well as lead procurement projects independently
  • contribute to the standardization and improvement of processes as well as to the further professionalization o the strategic procurement function
  • work closely with the technical departments on site and across the sites

You have:

  • a university degree in industrial engineering, business administration, natural science, or a comparable educational qualification
  • several years of professional experience, including at least three years in strategic procurement and / or project procurement in an international industrial company, ideally in the medical technology field or in other technology areas
  • experience in leading projects and working on projects
  • knowledge in one of the material groups injection molded components, sterile or secondary packaging, chemicals, medical technology-relevant services, production machines or the like
  • a structured way of working and a high degree of result orientation
  • integrative skills and team orientation
  • assertiveness
  • proficiency in English, Business fluent in German
