Software Cloud Architect

This position is responsible for providing technical leadership for the software department and ensuring the quality and continuity of the technical aspects of the software development life-cycle within the department. The Software Architect is a hands-on leadership role.

We are looking for people who are keen to try something new:

  • Define software architecture of integrated hardware-software systems in collaboration with systems and electrical engineering.
  • Lead architecture feasibility activities during early development phase with systems and advanced development.
  • Drive adoption of software engineering best practices within software department to improve predictability and quality.
  • Define technology road map for the software department to support business needs.
  • Participate in definition of technical competency matrix for the software department to support business needs.
  • Define SW technical /skills competencies matrix.

You are:

  • Bachelors of Science in Computer Science or related engineering discipline,
  • Minimum ten (10)years professional experience in software development, with three (3) years in a software architect role
  • Three (3) years experience leading and execute technology evaluation and proof of concept activities. Excellent cross functional communication skills.
  • Expert level with Microsoft technology stack including C#, .NET, WPF and WCF is required.
  • Expert level on design patterns is required.
  • Expert level on service oriented architecture is required.
  • Experience with one or more database servers such as SQL Server, MySQL and Oracle is required.
  • Experience with integrated hardware-software systems is highly desired.
  • Experience with embedded development including RTOS, scheduling, device control and protocols is highly desired.
  • Understanding of basic concepts in processing technologies such as GPU and DSP is desired.
  • Experience with client and server technologies for web development is desired.
  • Experience with one or more mobile technology stacks is desired.
