The Digital Innovation Partners unit based in Munich, Oberkochen and Jena is realizing cutting-edge customer-centric digital solutions jointly with the ZEISS business units.

Your role at ZEISS Digital:

In cross-functional teams you will drive & manage projects in the field of machine learning (ML) and data science. In this role, you will support the planning and execution of multiple data science/ ML projects. As part of a vivid team, you will build strategies in assessing and planning data science and ML related tasks like gathering and assessing requirements, reporting outcome and results. You will help collect learnings to be integrated into new project. With your organizational and project management skills, you will enable our experts to focus on technical, high quality solutions. You will be at the interface between our technical experts and ZEISS departments. You will be an advocate of the work of our data and analytics team.

You have:

  • An excellent university degree, in a tech related program
  • At least 3+ years of professional experience in a (leading) project management function, ideally in software development/ Data Science
  • Strong business acumen understanding various aspects of data-driven business needs
  • Willingness to acquire technical understanding of how machine Learning models work
  • Experience with agile project management
  • Experience in writing user stories and requirements
  • Pro-active and hands-on approach to challenges and getting things done mindset
  • Experienced in stakeholder management and in this context very strong communication skills
  • Experience with leveraging the capabilities of SharePoint with a passion for automation (e.g. MS office power automate) is a plus
  • Experience with or interest in writing short blogs and posts to communicate the teams’ achievements is a plus
  • Fluent English and advanced German language skills
