Finance Project Manager

The Project Manager supports the finance and accounting transformation road map for the shared services in North America with strategic and operational analysis/reporting.

The Project Manager is involved in the process streamlining of all accounting and finance departments: AP, AR, GL, MD and Payroll and facilitate the implementation of cross-functional and accounting projects within the Zeiss group.

The Project Manager assists in the development of the conceptual and methodological framework of the accounting shared service center in North America.

We are looking for people who are keen to try something new:

  • Lead cross-functional organizational initiatives as part of SCA finance transformation road map to ensure on-time delivery, within budget, and meeting all other key measurements. This include task transfers and optimization of AP, AR, GL processes for each SBUs.
  • Own project and action plans to monitor and track progress, regularly providing updates to senior management to ensure change management is implemented without business disruption.
  • Assess the performance of SCA NA against with Key Performance Indicators across AP, AR, GL and Payroll processes and drive consensus with the key stakeholders to define the future service and operating model.
  • Drive a culture to maintain up-to-date documentation of all standard operating procedures SOPs and policies, ensuring consistent and repeatable processes for the Finance Shared Services personnel.
  • Maintain the catalogue of services and associated service level agreements SLAs and define suitable performance targets i.e. weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually, leveraging data stored in enterprise systems and tools.
  • Work with department managers and team members to implement a project schedule and ensure that teams meet milestones throughout the project lifecycle. Take an active role in preventing delays and ensuring that deliverables are completed on time.

You are:

  • Advanced degree in Accounting or Finance,
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in a consulting role in Big 4 or in large companies,
  • Financial process oriented, strong organizational and analytical skills,
  • Experience managing projects and presenting status updates to your leadership.
