The Service Technician needs to be driven by our customer's success and delivers exceptional service to our customers throughout the entire service and repair process. The service technician also needs to take initiative and should be willing to respond to demands of the business incl. seasonal repair volume shifts.

We are looking for people who are keen to try something new:

  • Inspect and identify required actions (replacements, repairs) for products received from either end-users or retail/industry partners – products include binoculars, riflescopes, spotting scopes and camera lenses)
  • Adhere to defined service process to ensure a timely line turnaround of each case
  • Accurate repair of the product including defined testing procedures is essential
  • Ability to troubleshoot / perform test with the repairs on provided machines and tools
  • Administrative tasks including logging data in system, maintaining inventory of spare parts and tools, drive communication towards the customer during certain process steps
  • Support the development of service and repair processes to improve their effectiveness and efficiency
  • Collaborate with our global service team
  • Assist with maintaining the spare parts inventory
  • Regular communication with the Supply Chain Specialist to ensure the availability of spare parts (consume, check qty's, identify gaps and coordinate the requisitions with supply chain specialist)
  • Contribute in organizing and prioritizing the daily and weekly workload (e.g. bringing repair cases into a queue)

You are:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a service / repair environment
  • Strong hands-on experience in optical and/or precision mechanical repair
  • Self-motivated with attention to detail and prioritization of tasks
  • Strong team player
  • Knowledge of MS-Office (esp. Excel) highly desirable
  • Knowledge of SAP and/or Salesforce.com is a plus
