We are looking for people who are keen to try something new:
• Evaluate equipment performance and process capabilities. Makes recommendations and implements changes to processes, techniques, and tooling based on independent analysis and expertise.
• Curriculum development and facilitation of training for Technicians, Supervisors, Trainers and Engineers.
• Using expertise and independent research, make recommendations on and implement new technology and equipment in the Surfacing Department.
• Design, lay out, build, test, troubleshoot, repair and modify developmental and production electronic components, parts, equipment, systems, and related products and services
• Management of equipment including strategy and planning for equipment upgrades.
• Ensure Surfacing equipment is ready for production in a timely and optimal manner.
• Audit and reinforce compliance to company approved methods and quality standards.
• Work closely with management team and make recommendations to achieve results needed to satisfy customer demand.
• Sets up standard test apparatus or devises test equipment and circuitry to conduct functional, operational, environmental, and life tests to evaluate performance and reliability. Analyze findings and implement agreed upon changes/adjustments.
• Apply principles and theories of optics, electronics, engineering mathematics, electronic and electrical testing, and physics in order to continually improve processes and train/relay new techniques.
• Analyzes and interprets test data.
• Ongoing communication with Technical, Production and Regional Operations Managers.
• Active participation in cross-functional/cross-regional groups (e.g. global experts forums, “Ops Book”)
• Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
• Provide weekly reports in a timely manner.
• Perform hands-on work in a production environment and demonstrate technical know-how and expertise.

You are:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required
• Minimum of 5 years of applicable work experience
• Previous experience within a manufacturing environment including but not limited to operation of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and HVAC.
• Outstanding people skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Effective communication skills
• Detail oriented
• High degree of initiative and proven ability to work independently
• Able to use principles and theories of science, engineering, and mathematics to solve technical problems
• Optical experience preferred including but not limited to coatings, surface, and finishing areas
• Minimum of 5 years of applicable work experience
• Previous experience within a manufacturing environment including but not limited to operation of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and HVAC.
