The candidate will be responsible for Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing, documenting, implementing, and improving the EH&S programs. The candidate will interface with local, state, and federal agencies regarding permits and reporting. The candidate will be responsible for employee safety and accident investigation.

Your job

  • Fulfill roles of Environmental, Laser Safety, and Radiation Safety officer.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health and safety laws, regulations, and standards regarding permits and reporting.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Environmental, Health, and Safety policies, plans and procedures.
  • Provide technical expertise on Environmental, Health, and Safety in both office and manufacturing environments.
  • Lead and document accident investigation to determine root cause and corrective/preventive action.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO 14001, ROHS, and REACH programs
  • Design safe work practices and environment and create policies for employees to follow to minimize and/or eliminate job related hazards.
  • Conduct safety training
  • Conduct job and product hazard analysis as needed
  • Responsible for coordinating the recycling and/or disposal of hazardous waste.
  • Perform internal audits to ensure compliance to laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Manage emergency action response drills and procedures
  • Overall responsibility for safety of employees including, but not limited to, ergonomic evaluation, accident investigation, and workspace design.
  • Perform periodic review of laws, regulations, and standards. Perform gap analysis and develop plans to address identified gaps.
  • Support property management and facilities on projects
  • Maintain OSHA logs and safety records
  • Track, analyze, and present EH&S related data to management
  • Drive continuous improvement related to EH&S
  • Perform tasks as required by management

Our requirements

  • BA or BS degree in Environmental or Safety topics, or applicable Engineering field
  • Minimum 10 years of industry experience in a similar role is required.
  • ISO 14001, RoHS, and REACH knowledge
  • Good computer skills including proficiency with MS Office, Excel and Outlook is required.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills, collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively contribute to a team environment.
  • Ability to handle the fast-paced, ever-changing demands of a growing high-tech company.
  • 5% or less travel – visits to customers or vendors may be required
