Sales Support Specialist - Warranty Advocate

The Sales Support Specialist is part of the Walmart Account Team and is based in the ZEISS office in Bentonville, Arkansas. The Support Specialist is responsible for processing and supporting ophthalmic prescription lens warranty requests based on a set of written guidelines. This will require communication with customers via phone, email, and live comment boards. Communication with ZEISS internal department teams including field sales, account management, customer care and lab operations will be required to troubleshoot a lens prescription warranty request that falls outside the guidelines. The Support Specialist will receive and review daily lab reports (MS Excel format) and upload the reports to a file transfer portal to provide status feedback to customers. In addition, the Support Specialist will provide monthly reports (MS Excel) to the retail account team. To be able to best respond to and answer customer inquiries, previous optical knowledge and previous customer service experience is preferred.

We are looking for people who are keen to try something new:

  • Ability to process customer warranty requests
  • Respond to customer and field sales warranty inquiries via phone and email
  • Maintain warranty tracking reports and customer logins
  • Support additional office maintenance and activities as needed
  • Perform additional duties as needed

You are:

  • A High School graduate or GED equivalent.
  • American Board of Opticianry (ABO) certified (or equivalent experience) or have the ability to become certified within the first 6 months of employment (required).
  • Have a minimum of 1 year experience in optical (strongly preferred).
  • Have a minimum of 1 year experience in customer service.
  • You have working knowledge of Excel spreadsheet file formats with demonstrated ability to open, read, analyze, edit, save, rename, and transfer files.
  • You have working knowledge of Outlook email and calendar functions with demonstrated ability to operate shared email and calendars and ability to manage and respond to multiple email inboxes.
  • You have a basic understanding of MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
