Senior Mechanical Engineer (w/m/x)

In this role you have the chance to develop new, innovative product solutions for wafer inspection in the semiconductor industry as part of a system integration team.

You will

  • design mechanical and electro-mechanical modules for Electron Microscopes and make sure, functionality, manufacturability, regulatory and economic specifications are met
  • be responsible for the mechanical design of the entire system
  • lead internal and external development partners for mechanical components
  • breakdown system specifications into mechanical requirements and align with the other R&D functions
  • document the technical data and management of the BOM
  • support the integration of electronic modules (incl. cables) into the system and design the mechanical components (e-racks, cable routing)

You have

  • a successful degree (preferably Masters, PhD is a plus) in mechanical engineering
  • several years of proven experience in the mechanical design of complex production or metrology tools (ideally electron microscopes)
  • experience in the design of vacuum components and motion control
  • excellent knowledge in SAP and CAD design (SolidWorks or Creo)
  • experience managing external development partners and suppliers
  • willingness to work hands-on in a small, inter-disciplinary team and "get it done" attitude
  • excellent oral and written communication skills in English, command of German language is a plus
