Human Resources Business Partner

The HR Business Partner is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the HR Manager & Business Partner and Carl Zeiss Inc. HR Team in supporting the Industrial Quality Solutions (IQS) business group. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruitment, employee relations, employee development, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, affirmative action and employment law compliance. This position champions the ZEISS brand and supports the company goals and vision.

We are looking for people who are keen to try something new:

  • Acts as a resource for employees and managers; provides general information, policy interpretation, and support on employee issues.
  • Facilitates employee changes such as hiring, termination, promotion, transfer, etc.
  • Work with all levels of our teams from individual contributors to our senior leadership
  • Works collaboratively with Carl Zeiss Inc. HR team on local issues including employee relations, payroll, benefit administration, immigration, etc.
  • Ensures compliance with all HR policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Supports Carl Zeiss AG (corporate) HR related initiatives for IQS; Supports rollout of new initiatives for IQS.
  • Analyze trends and metrics; partner with management to develop solutions related to personnel issues and/or development needs.

You are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or related field preferred.
  • 5 plus years of related work experience with a working knowledge of HR principals and day to day HR processes.
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint preferred.
  • Experience with Workday HR information system and SharePoint preferred.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills with ability to work well with all levels of staff in a multicultural environment.
  • Must be highly motivated and organized. Excellent at planning, organization and managing multiple priorities
