Your role at ZEISS Digital Partners

You will play a crucial role in shaping the future of ZEISS – by actively contributing to the success of the digital transformation at ZEISS. As a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer at the ZEISS Digital Partners, you are part of our Digital Enablement team. In this challenging function, you will be responsible for infrastructure, operations and security and you will leverage automation, self-service tools to establish infrastructure capabilities, build the operational platform and codify security policies used by software engineers. You will define rules for our deployments and take care of compliance with, always exploring new Cloud solutions to improve and bring forward our environment.

You have

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and deployment processes (Github, Gitlab or Azure DevOps)
  • Experience with container tooling and orchestration using Kubernetes or similar platforms.
  • Experience with infrastructure and services in public and private cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP etc)
  • Experience with monitoring or log aggregation tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Azure Monitor, etc)
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, using Terraform, Pulumi or other tools.
  • Expertise on how to create Build and Release Pipelines
  • Knowledge in Shell scripting (e.g. Bash, Powershell, Python), REST APIs and state-of-the-art Cloud technologies are a must
  • Fluent English language skills (German is a plus - but not required)
  • Preferably, an excellent university degree in computer science, natural sciences, or engineering, paired with a passion for data and cloud computing – or any equivalent experience
