Global Clinical Marketing Manager

Job Summary:
The Global Clinical Marketing Manager is responsible for developing global product marketing plans with an emphasis on clinical content development, aligned with the objectives of the business sector and regional sales, to drive global demand generation and increase win-rate. The focus of this role is the Ophthalmic Diagnostics portfolio. The Global Clinical Marketing Manager collaborates with Global Product Marketing, Product Management, and Global Market Development to support the global implementation of clinical marketing and content strategies in the SSCs.

Essential Functions:
• Create and implement global marketing strategy and global annual marketing plan for assigned products
• Engage Global Market Development to establish clear links with regional sales and marketing organizations to ensure the execution of programs at local levels around the globe
• Lead large scope projects with cross-departmental teams. Develop value propositions, positioning, and messaging to positively differentiate ODx solutions
• Develop clinical content for assigned product to support segment specific marketing and sales collateral (Research, Clinical, OD/MD)
• Establish and implement campaign channel strategy for outbound marketing, based on business objectives, with strong focus on leveraging digital channels
• Work cross-functionally to support continuous development and implementation of global content and campaign messaging strategy
• Continuously evolve and improve marketing programs to optimize performance and improve ROI; actively manage marketing budget based on results and outcomes.
• Analyze and absorb regional market dynamics and requirements, utilizing understanding, to continuously evolve global marketing strategy
• Support sales for assigned products:
o Manage publication of global price updates, communicate changes to offering or saleable product configurations
o Work with Professional Education to develop and support industry luminaries who contribute content to marketing programs
o Manage speakers and programs for international events
• Create Global Launch plan for assigned products
o Develop and execute integrated marketing plans for new product and solutions launches, working closely with cross-functional teams in Product Management, Market Development and SSC marketing teams
o Collaborate with Product Management to develop positioning and messaging.
o Create global product launch marketing collateral
o Support global sales training
o Manage product allocation during roll out

• Conduct competitive landscape intelligence and analysis, and report on market dynamics and competitive activities
o Continuously monitor market needs and customer acceptance through sales force contact, customer visits, attending key congresses and meetings, and conducting primary and secondary market research
o Analyze competitive products and provide timely, updated information and selling arguments

Working Relationships
The employee reports to the Head of Global Product Marketing, and works closely with Product Management, Global Marcom, Global Market Development, and Professional Education, Sales, Customers

Working Environment
Must be able to work both on-site and off-site anywhere in the world under a variety of cultural and climatic conditions.

You are:

Requirements
• Undergraduate degree, preferably in marketing, business, or life sciences. OD, MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 8 years’ marketing experience; previous medical device/healthcare field experience required
• Demonstrated ability in start-to-finish project management, from planning and conceptualization through execution and metrics-based results analysis
• Strong time-management and organizational skills, with ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
• Experience with Salesforce and Marketo, or similar marketing automation tools, to manage lead database, run lead scoring, and nurture campaigns preferred
• Excellent oral presentation and written communication skills
