You will:
- Assume technical responsibility for intraocular lens (IOL) development projects
- Apply your creative abilities to identify ground-breaking innovations
- Analyze product requirements and create product specifications together with product management
- Transform these ideas into successful products by working closely with the project manager as part of an interdisciplinary
- team with colleagues from Development, Product Management, Regulatory and Clinical Affairs, Engineering and Purchasing
- Monitor technical issues for products across the entire life cycle
- Set up and foster cooperations with external partners in industry and at research institutions
You have:
- A degree with very good grades in physics, mechanical engineering, medical technology or a comparable field with a
- focus on optics and optical technologies
- A passion for theoretical and practical experimentation with new ideas and solutions and have demonstrated this,
- e.g. in a doctoral thesis
- Outstanding analytical and conceptual skills as well as a systematic, goal-oriented approach to solving problems
- A high level of creativity, initiative and a readiness to take on responsibility
- Practical experience working with optical experiments and measuring systems
- A sound knowledge of optical design software, e.g. Zemax
- A good understanding of the physiology of the eye and, ideally, experience modeling visual perception processes at the
- interface between the eye and brain
- Fluent written and spoken English and enjoy working on international teams
