Microscope World provides a broad range of microscopes to a wide variety of organizations and industries. Our organization requires a person with extensive light microscope experience with background in both life science and industrial applications. The culture of our company is to provide knowledgeable product consultation resulting in customer satisfaction.

We are looking for people who are keen to try something new:

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the microscopes that Microscope World sells and supports. A primary focus will be on Zeiss non-motorized instruments.
  • Demonstrate good communication skills through phone conversations, email correspondence, and quotations provided to customers
  • Ability to quickly identify the essence of what the customer is doing and what that translates into for microscope performance. Demonstration of a consultative approach with customers. Extend the consultation to accepting customer samples and providing demonstrated attainment of customer requirements.
  • Ability to identify the budget constraints (if any) of the customer and how best to meet their requirements within the budget constraint
  • Develop proficiency in the various digital camera / software products that are provided to customers. Provide technical support as needed.

You are:

  • Ability to provide a rapid response to customer inquiries. A cycle time of 4 hours for quote requests is expected.
  • Develop background knowledge of competitors products and prices to be able to provide competitive quotations.
  • Work within a small business where cross-training and sharing of workload is a necessity.
  • Ability to provide remote support for customers. This includes installation, training and trouble-shooting.
  • Occasionally provide on-site support to customers.
  • Ability to develop good working relationships with fellow team members
  • Able to lift microscope crates (50-75lbs) and perform other physical tasks associated with warehousing / delivery of microscopes to customers
