The Sales Agent is responsible for managing a regional territory of accounts, as defined by ZEISS, to represent all ZEISS products and services relevant to his assigned product portfolio. The individual is responsible for identifying opportunities for sales penetration, proposal development, customer presentations and coordination of new business opportunities. Develops quarterly sales plans and commits to an annual sales budget. Writes specific objectives, forecasts orders and expected revenue monthly. Proactively develops effective business relationships with key decision makers to meet or exceed sales targets. The Sales Agent coordinates and participates in meetings with key influencers in the account and brings in subject matter experts from ZEISS for demos, or in the development of proposals to be most effective. The Sales Agent is responsible for communicating ideas, market trends and competitive activities.

We are looking for people who are keen to try something new:

• Organize and execute efficient, quarterly sales plans.
• Visit customer sites to evaluate needs and propose solutions.
• Develop and maintain the pipeline of leads and opportunities.
• Prepare and execute sales presentations, demonstrations, and evaluations.
• Maintain relationships with existing or potential key opinion leaders, key accounts, influencers and academic centers.
• Attain or exceed yearly revenue goals for territory of responsibility.
• Manage accounts by following up on the operation, utilization, and clinical application of our solutions.
• Educate and support referral network as required.
• Create synergy opportunities among other ZEISS sales divisions, field service, and other corporate partners.
• Work with marketing and other departments to ensure that course materials reflect current and up-to-date features.
• Attend and support trade shows, conferences, exhibits, seminars as required.
• Attain or exceed yearly revenue goals for territory of responsibility.

You are:

• 3+ years of sales experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in sciences, engineering, or business-related discipline, and/or equivalent industry experience.
• High level of technical / clinical product knowledge.
• Experience in client relationship management and ability to influence decisions.
• Proven track record of sustained sales success maintaining peak performances.
• Ability to develop and make key account level presentations.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Well organized and capable of working independently; exercising independent judgment with minimum supervision.
• Must have excellent team building and interpersonal skills, coachable and self-motivated, negotiating, closing skills are required
• Ability to handle difficult situations and deal effectively and harmoniously with various personnel, internally and externally, at all levels.
• Must be willing to travel in Canada and internationally for training, meetings, exhibit support and coverage outside assigned territory.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 kg.
