The ZEISS Digital Partners unit based in Munich, Oberkochen and Jena is realizing cutting-edge customer-centric digital solutions jointly with the Segments of the ZEISS Group.

Your role at ZEISS Digital:

You will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Data Analytics and actively contribute to the success of the digital transformation at ZEISS. In this challenging function, you will help our business units to identify and develop operational data-driven use case opportunities. As a data management & operations expert at the Zeiss Digital Partners, you are part of our Data Operations team and join the vibrant Zeiss data and AI community. You work in cross-functional teams with the ZEISS business units at ZEISS Digital Partners. Together with your colleagues, you create the foundation for a data-driven organization as well as a comprehensive data-enabled experience and data driven business for ZEISS customers through ingenious data management and solid data operations.

You have:

  • An excellent university degree, preferably computer science, natural sciences, or engineering, paired with a passion for data and its visualization
  • At least 3+ years of professional experience in IT consulting, data management or a data-driven enterprise department
  • Experience in working with data catalog solutions to structure and organize enterprise data
  • Experience in agile IT projects in the field of data analytics
  • Experience in co-creating end-to-end data products from requirements gathering to actual implementation
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate between different stakeholder groups from technology to business
  • Expertise in Cloud technologies like Microsoft Azure, Spark-based data transformation (pySpark/ Databricks) and database systems (SQL and No-SQL)
  • Experience with technologies like Data Factory, Databricks and Synapse
  • Creative thinking and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge in UI and web design is a plus
  • Fluent English and advanced German language skills
