The Training Specialist will develops, maintain and monitor execution of a comprehensive Training Program for Lab Network and DC Operations covering all areas of operations (manufacturing, technical, maintenance, engineering, DC-Picking/Put-away), and career path definition for technicians, engineers and supervisors.
• Develop comprehensive Training Program for all Lab Ops and DC activities
• Career Path definition for all technicians.
• Implement and monitor execution of Training Program.
• Liaise with functional managers and individual trainers at each site.
• Establish and communicate training goals to leadership and associates
• Create appropriate training documents to monitor progress and show evidence of training plan execution.
• Develop a kpi to measure and monitor Training Plan execution and effectiveness.
• Implement and Monitor Training Schedule.
• Publish and Communicate training schedule including expectations
• Make recommendation on how training can be practically executed, inc:
o Classroom – Work Instructions / Hands On when applicable
o Shop Floor – Demonstration / Hands On
• Develop written exams post-training to understand retention
• Benchmarking against status quo
• Adjust training to leverage learning patterns relative to achieving goals
• Develop and assist in Skill Level assessment
• Develop a Certification Program and Maintain training records for associates
• Review / plan future training based upon need
• Assist Ops and DC management in the review, revisions, and implementation of Training Program
• Participate in meetings to enhance departmental communication and efficiency.

You are:

• Appropriate BS preferred
• >3 years in a Training or Training Coordinator role in the Lab Production/Warehouse environment.
• Relevant Organizational/Personnel Development experience.
• Exposure to Lean Methodology helpful
• Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office productivity tools, primarily Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Must be highly organized and be a self- starter.
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and communication skills a must
• Strong analytical skills a must
• Requires flexibility to perform a variety of tasks as required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task production environment. Have the ability to focus for long periods of time
• Have an eye for attention to detail and symmetry
• Patience to fully see the task through is a must
• Honest, dependable and be able to follow directions either written or verbal
• Ability to communicate with senior management in a clear, concise manner
• Provides recommends and directions on Training/development to Operations Leadership
• Professional demeanor
• Be perceived as a role model
