Job Description:

• Supervises and coordinates activities of machining, tumbling, clean room including heparin production and packaging by performing the following duties personally or through the leads of the various areas.
• Supervision of team leads by giving direction for all changes required, motivating and inspiring.
• Lead production meeting. Ensure a thorough communication workflow to all operators including but not limited to overall direction, main KPIs, occurring quality and cost-issues
• Develop team leads and employees through empowerment, feedback as well as on- and off the job trainings.
• Train team leads amongst others to analyze and resolve occurring problems where needed.
• Ensure the application and continuous optimization of SOPs
• Enforce all safety and hygiene regulations
• Cross-train operators where possible to ensure a maximum of flexibility
• Maintain up to date and accessible training records for all production and Quality system documents.
• Update and revise manufacturing instructions to ensure documents are accurate and complete.
• Optimize material flows, production processes and working stations in close cooperation with the engineering team.
• Apply methods for continuous improvement, work systematically with targets, KPIs and problem solving techniques
• Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of initiative and flexibility. Strong interpersonal, communication, and team building skills. Good analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to analyze cost performance, capacity, utilization and production yields data to improve operations and reduce cost.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one months to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong working knowledge of WIPLine Balancing Manufacturing. Proficient in the use of personal computers to perform daily work, familiar with the Microsoft Office suite of programs and MRP systems.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
