The Marcom Specialist will be the central channel of information for the ZEISS brand internally and externally in handling inquiries. Responsible for all marketing activities and work closely with the business segments to develop and create value-added marketing communication materials in alignment with the ZEISS Identity. He/She must be digitally savvy and competent in all social media platforms (mainly Facebook, Instagram and Twitter), familiar with Website posting and co-ordinator for Corporate Communications.

  • Work with business segment and country stakeholders to align and execute latest Brand Communication CSOPs from Germany to the region
  • Ensure design agencies used by business segments comply with our guidelines
  • Maintain ZEISS SEA Facebook with consistent value-added content
  • Maintain strong partnerships with contacts in Germany for cross-posting of regional highlights
  • Maintain ZEISS website with articles that add to brand value
  • Create (with or without the support of an agency) and disseminate brand-building videos across various online platforms
  • Support individual business segments on tradeshows and events
  • Ensure compliance throughout all mediums, as well as for merchandise and give-aways for business segments
  • Work with CBC for end-to-end coordination, maintaining company portals and create awareness of Employee Portals
  • Ensure regional colleagues are updated with latest happenings through consistent internal communications
  • Work with external vendors on the creation of marketing materials and stationery
  • Create new business cards for new employees with latest guidelines
  • Collate and handle requests from business segments on needed segment-specific stationery

Key Qualifications

  • Degree in Marketing/Advertising/Communication or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent knowledge and participation of social media (Facebook, Twitter, blogs, forums)
  • Working knowledge of digital marketing – SEO/SEM, Google Analytics, Google Ads
  • Experience and knowledge of marketing and media metrics, planning, ideation and creative content development skills
  • Confident and meticulous – with ability to engage independently with external as well as internal stakeholders including clients, partners, vendors and cross-functional teams within the organization. Ability to plan, organize and prioritise workload to ensure deadlines are met
  • Proactive, passionate, self-driven, team player, with good negotiation and execution skills who can work independently when required, with minimal supervision
