We are looking for a new colleague within our Legal / General Counsel team as a Paralegal in Basel. In this role, you will support the team by managing contracts, coordinating legal projects, and preparing legal documentation. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, contributing to efficient legal operations as well as corporate governance and compliance topics.

Your responsibilities

  • Draft, review, proofread, and manage legal documents and contracts based on standard templates
  • Support end-to-end contract lifecycle management, including tracking, filing, and maintaining accurate records in legal systems
  • Manage internal approval and signature processes for legal documents
  • Coordinate legal projects and ensure timely follow-up on deliverables
  • Assist in legal disputes, including the preservation of evidence, document management, and coordination with external law firms.
  • Act as a liaison between Legal, internal stakeholders, and external partners
  • Support corporate governance activities, including preparation of board and shareholder documentation
  • Contribute to compliance-related topics such as data protection, ESG initiatives, and adherence to internal policies and regulations

Your qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in law and/or Paralegal certification
  • 4–6 years of experience in a similar role (in-house or law firm), ideally within medical technology, life sciences, or pharma
  • Basic understanding of medical device regulations (e.g., Swissmedic, FDA, MDR)
  • Experience with legal tech tools (e.g., contract management systems)
  • Fluency in English and German; additional languages (French, Spanish, Portuguese) are a plus
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a structured working style
  • Proactive, reliable, and solution-oriented team player with strong communication skills and sound judgment in handling legal and compliance risks
