Summary:
The Sustainability Data internship offers a dynamic work environment that values growth and development for individuals interested in pursuing a career in Sustainability. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain firsthand experience in the quickly growing field of corporate sustainability and gain insight into engineering with the environment in mind. This position requires attention to detail and strong communication skills.
The Sustainability Data intern performs product life cycle analyses (LCAs) and Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) via the software OneClick LCA with opportunities to participate in sustainability assessments for new products. Beyond this, the Sustainability Data intern will be expected to monitor the Americas’ regulatory landscape regarding sustainability data transparency.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Works effectively with Company personnel, customers and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner; listening to and objectively considering ideas and suggestions from others; keeping commitments; keeping others informed of work progress, timetables and issues; addressing problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions; addressing others by name, tittle or other respectful identifier, and; respecting the diversity of our work force in actions, words and deeds.
• Create sustainability data transparency for GFPS products: Product Carbon Footprint (PCF), Lifecycle Assessments (LCA), and Environmental Product Declarations (EPD)
• Monitor regulatory developments regarding sustainability data transparency
• Monitor competitors regarding sustainability data transparency
• On occasion, participate in Sustainability Assessments undertaken during new product development or existing product improvement.
• Liaise & cooperate with key departments: Product Management, Global Innovation, and Information Technology, as well as local EH&S managers
• Committed to the protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees, customers, and neighbors. Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving our Environmental Management System (EMS).
• All other duties as assigned.

Your profile

- High School Diploma or equivalent and current student in a post-secondary college or university
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering, Environmental Studies/Science, Business Administration, Public Policy or similar field.
- Experience working within OneClick LCA, or similar software.
