Your tasks

- The Manufacturing Maintenance Technician II is responsible for providing technical support through a variety of functions including mold set-up and removal, machine start-up and shut-down, material changeover, mold insert changes for different plastic parts, troubleshoot and repair Mechanical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Electrical systems.
- Starts and shuts down injection molding machines.
- Troubleshoots injection molding machines.
- Assembles injection molds from start to finish for production runs.
- Removes and installs plastic injection molds of varying sizes and complexities in molding machines according to work order specifications.
- Sets up End of Arm tooling for robotic part removal.
- Ensures proper materials are used at each machine by managing raw molding materials ensuring traceability and preventing contamination.
- Provides molded components in a timely manner to ensure production schedules are met.
- Maintains set-up records on tools, preventative maintenance and run profiles.
- Troubleshoots and makes repairs to Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic Systems to a minimum of 120v unassisted and up to 480v assisted.
- Performs minor repairs to plumbing systems.
- Performs Preventive Maintenance on all equipment in assigned areas.
- Trains lower-level Process Maintenance Technicians on troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems using LOTO procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Your profile

- Required Skills/Abilities:
- Full understanding of Electrical systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair systems using LOTO procedures.
- Ability to read and comprehend Technical Manuals for various types of manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to use CMMS, e-Mail, and various spreadsheet applications.
- Ability to use a crane hoist.
- Basic mechanical aptitude or interest in working with machinery.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with determining necessary tool accuracy to be appropriate with given tolerances.
- Strong understanding of and ability to apply measurement methods to inspection and/or testing.
- Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Five (5) to ten (10) years’ experience in Industrial Manufacturing Maintenance position.
- Formal training via Accredited Technical Trade School or On-Line courses.
- Completion of Company provided Basic Technical Training Course within 18 months.
- Experience working in fast pace, high change environment.
- Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
- Exposure to machine noise.
- Typical office/factory environment with possibility of exposure to heat in production area.
- Working conditions are normal for a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Work may involve lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds and working in and around heavy equipment.
- Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to, eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, and work boots.
- This role may require walking in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
