Your tasks:
- Develop a pricing strategy and model that will be used to generate standard and individual case-basis pricing and thresholds in support of sales efforts in collaboration with the Product Managers
- Create and track competitive pricing and fair market value database
- Define a simplified framework for customer agreements that help to facilitate customer engagement
- Setting brand price positioning, target price gaps as well as revenue models to optimize pricing vs competition and market trends
- Mine data, analyze and interpret results price vs costs using standard statistical tools and techniques
- Develop analytical tools/models to quickly and accurately determine contribution margin
- Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting the prices and profitability of products
Your profile:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in social science with a specialization in research, marketing, and quantitative research
- At least 5 years of practical experience as a pricing manager ideally in an industrial company or an analytics agency
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to work across diverse teams and departments
- Knowledge of supply chain and production cost structures
- Strong understanding of the selling cycle and process to support the sales organization with timely and relevant data
- Experience in pricing tools like PROS, Vendavo, and others
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, vlookups, Excel (pivot tables, advanced calculations, and formulas, importing data for graphing, charting, and other pictorials)
- English on a professional level, any other languages are a plus
- Important information: The position can also be filled in other countries than Switzerland
