- 1.Market analysis
- -Ensure a detailed market, competition and business analysis for the existing product offering and identify gaps as base to build a differentiated package.
- -Identify key potential customers in China in which to focus and actions required for the new business engagement
- -Monitors market trends and identifies appropriate target markets in sub-segment ,like PCB ,advanced packaging ,substrates.
- -Assists in the development of new/existing adjacent markets to the ME team.
- 2.Business field approach
- -Derive customer centric innovations to close gaps in the existing portfolio (Products and Services) and address future customers' needs.
- -Monitor competitor and customer trends and integrate into on-going sales plan
- 3.Pre-sales activities
- -Provide sales enablement support to facilitate pre-sales activities, specification work and lead generation.
- -Support Sales manager to develop regional Go-to-Market plans and strategies, including dealer management
- -Close working and communication relationship with the rest of ME team and the China sales company to ensure profitable and sustainable sales growth in this segment
- 4.Center of Competence
- -Foster best practice sharing and networking within ME and other China sales teams through focus group meetings
- -Maintains close customer relationships to understand their needs and open the doors for sales.
- -Monitors the market development activities to ensure that they are in line with company business aims.
- -Work with PM and specialized solution teams to optimize market segment opportunities
- 5.Communication
- -Promote GFPS existing and newly developed products and solutions inside/outside GF and within the vertical along all relevant communication channels (trade fairs, print & digital media, presentations at conferences, seminars, etc…) by highlighting the GF Value Proposition within the vertical.

- Competences, responsibilities, requirements
- Personal requirements:
- Education: Preferably University degree in engineering or business adminsitration, or similar experience
- Language skills: Chinese and English; any additional languages would be benefical
- Professional competencies:
- -> Proven experience (~ 2 years) and track record in China sales
- -> Extensive understanding of customers and their needs in the relevant market segment
- -> Commercial expertise
- -Strategic commercial mindset
- -Deep understanding of the ME business,and its relevant sub-segments, applications, customer structures in China
- -Ability to have pre-sales and application know-how conversations with prospective customers
- -> Technical expertise:
- -Ability to explain to and collaborate with PM on application/ end market needs for new product innovation
- General characteristics and leadership qualities:
- -> strong positive mindset, approaches challenges optimistically and with courage
- -> entrepreneurial mindset to take decisions under uncertainty
- -> strong in strategic and analytical thinking
- -> high customer and sales orientation (pro active)
