A day in the life as an Area Sales Manager - Pre-Insulated Piping Systems

We are are looking to add an Area Sales Manager, Pre-Insulated to our sales team! This position is responsible for account management in the assigned sales region. You will manage relationships, generate and pursue sales leads, coordinate proposals, and drive sales within designated region.
A day in the life as an Area Sales Manager - Pre-Insulated Piping Systems:
Business Development:
• Act as a “Brand Ambassador” utilizing your passion and talent to drive success.
• Play an active part in the local trades' community – support local trade organizations through regular meetings and special events.
• Cross division collaboration to leverage Georg Fischer's full product and services portfolio, providing best in class solutions to our customers.
• Work with specifying engineers and end users to select the best product for their application.
Account Management:
• Manage local relationship with sales channel representatives (manufacturer's representative agents, system integrators, distributors etc.) and recommend actions required to maximize business opportunities.
• Prepare monthly sales reports and business metrics; identify sales opportunities; report on trends and new products.
• Develop proposals by identifying themes and “selling points” and preparing various components such as executive summaries
• Manage travel (up to 70% of time), manage territory cost center, expenses and meet or exceed personal goals and/or critical performance factors.
Communication:
• Serves as an internal expert communicating the customers' requirements to drive new product development
• Work closely with associates on the regional sales team, coordinating efforts with other regions, National Account Manager, Product Managers, or other Company departments to support territory objectives.
• Gather and share market intel, such as latest trends and new products.

What you'll bring...

- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent), preferably in Engineering or Marketing/Business Management
- Five years sales experience in a related environment, preferred
- Previous experience working within the HVAC industry, or within piping systems is beneficial.
- Experience in working with Engineers to influence construction specifications, is highly desired.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and organized self-starter with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
- Must have an eye for detail and a strong desire to grow the business.
- Able to lead multiple projects in various stages simultaneously with excellent time and project management skills
- Confidence in presenting for groups of various sizes live and through digital presentations using relevant software such as PowerPoint, experience in Microsoft Office.
- Present a professional appearance as well as a professional attitude with customers, distributors, vendors and other company personnel.
- Ability to drive with valid drivers.
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication essential.
