Main Tasks

- Provide database support for Great Plains software and technical support using Microsoft, GP VAR, associate partners and/or Great Plains telephone support, as needed.
- Control and documentation of all changes made to Great Plains server and client software, including screen layouts, VBA and .NET customizations, software updates, etc.
- Creation and documentation of all custom reports created via Report Writer or Crystal reports.
- regularly schedule database backup, testing, and maintenance.
- Development and support of Microsoft Access applications; Administer Microsoft SQL Server.
- Provide Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) and .NET maintenance for Great Plains Software customizations.
- Respond to the needs and questions of users concerning their access to resources and the operation of various software programs, both during regular business hours and in response to emergency situations during non-business hours.
- Act as Content Manager and support Great Plains Super User group via the Director of Operations.
- Administer the company’s mobile telephone and land-based phone systems. Configure systems and provide end-user support. Act as a liaison between end users and the providers/carriers.
- Serve as a liaison between the company and the external support partners for the Great Plains System, telephone systems, and data network providers.
- Complete Great Plains projects as required by GF MS Management, including but not limited to table interfaces with SAP and the migration to S4HANA.
- Provide backup support to IT group and end-user support.
Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Access, MS Office Software. Experience with Microsoft Windows server environment.
- Proficiency with Great Plains software.
- Ability to program in Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) and .NET.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as processes and procedures, technical journals, legal documents, financial documents, and specific service reports and documents.
- Effectively communicate ideas, both written and verbally, to management and employees of the organization.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. This position may require the employee to travel to other company locations.
