As our product manager, you will own the long-term product and roadmap strategy (commercially and technically) of the GF Piping Systems Process Automation's next-generation ecosystem of water quality measurement solutions & services. This includes the selection of measurement parameters & sensing technologies as well as system components such as transmitters or digital products. You will ensure the technical and economic market fit of the new components being launched by specifying product requirements and defining clear differentiation strategies. Become the global subject matter expert on technical and strategic business levels for all topics related to liquid analysis solutions.

Your tasks:

  • Defining, verifying, and leading the direction of the product family and translating this into a long-term strategy for the global technology portfolio for liquids analysis solutions and services
  • Developing a deep understanding of the industry requirements and translating customer needs into an innovative product portfolio together with peer product managers and the innovation department
  • Create out-of-market and customer feedback on a business case with a focus on a differentiation strategy
  • Supporting M&A and next-generation marketing activities
  • After the product launches ensure the product portfolio is fit for the market (performance, connectivity, digital aspects, user experience) and run regular continuous market and competitor analysis

Your profile:

Profile
  • A Bachelor's or master’s degree in engineering with a focus on business economics or a comparable technical and economical field of study and/or a technical apprenticeship and additional training
  • A minimum of 6 years of extensive experience in managing a product portfolio in the field of process automation (Liquid analysis, flowmeters, analytical instrumentation, or equal)
  • A good understanding of the global measurement and control market
  • Ability to conceptualize product concepts and requirements into compelling business cases
  • Addressee-oriented communication on all levels internally and as well externally
  • Well experienced to work across teams and departments with the ability to structure and coordinate different stakeholders
