Main Tasks

  • Drive expansion and growth of GF Machining Solutions Advanced Manufacturing products and services across all market segments.
  • Collaborate with the TU staff to identify sales opportunities in North America. Work with the sales teams to develop these opportunities.
  • Define regional market entry strategy: Direct contact/telemarketing, LinkedIn / Web search, Industry associations, Industry Networks/partners, Trade shows, Supply chain partners, and other GFMS customers (global, regional).
  • Identify priority customers, initiate high-level contacts, and develop relationships.
  • Educate internal personnel on target applications and GFMS solutions.
  • Initiate technical presentations to be given verbally and in writing, including developing applications-specific sales packages.
  • Ensure that resources are applied to the most attractive applications and that already developed solutions are spread as broadly as possible.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to leverage sales potential for new and future application solutions across all regions and customer groups.
  • Continually develop technical expertise and assist in knowledge and experience transfer from one geographic region to another.
  • Support, coordinate, and recommend implementation of strategic marketing initiatives and measure the results.

Minimum Requirements

Profile
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in mechanical or electrical engineering technology; and three to five years related experience and/or training; preferably in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of EDM, Milling and Laser machines, and related products and equipment.
  • Prior sales or program management experience and experience selling at the corporate/executive level. Formal training in project management and/or project management certification (PMP) is strongly preferred. Experience in validating processes in the medical industry is required.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Systems, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of project management software and Great Plains or similar software program helpful.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and talk or hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • This position may require the Business Development Manager to regularly travel to customer sites, trade shows, or other company locations both nationally and internationally approximately 60% of the time.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • All candidates must be authorized to work in the US for any employer.
