Main Tasks

Tasks
  • Define and implement a successful sales strategy that will guide sales to achieve objectives and company goals.
  • Analyze and monitor sales forecast activity and profit margin performance and make the necessary changes on time to achieve goals consistent with GF Machining Solutions' objectives.
  • Visit Sales Representatives' territories and provide support on sales and customer support calls. Assist in the selling process to the extent necessary to secure the orders.
  • Liaison with Service and Applications personnel and internal staff on customer issues.
  • Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume and performance in the assigned sales territory. Comply with reporting duties consistent with the Regional Sales Manager's responsibilities.
  • Evaluate and train the Sales Representatives to effectively sell GF Machining Solutions products and services.
  • Conduct seminars and attend trade shows promoting GF Machining Solutions as the leader in EDM/HSM/CSB industries.

Minimum Requirements

Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; and three to five years related sales management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior applications, engineering, and/or machine tool sales management experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with SalesPad, CRM, and Great Plains is beneficial.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages, interest, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. This position will require the employee to regularly travel to customer sites, trade shows, or other company locations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer.
