Main Tasks

  • Clearly define and implement a successful sales strategy to broaden +GF+ products' market position and guide sales to achieve objectives and company goals.
  • Analyze and monitor sales forecast activity and profit margin performance and make the necessary changes promptly to achieve goals consistent with Company objectives
  • Visit Sales Representatives' territories and provide support on sales and customer support calls.
  • Liaison with Service and Applications personnel and internal staff on customer issues.
  • Create action plans to penetrate new markets and cultivate customer relationships as needed. Take a primary role in the sales efforts to acquire key prospects and secure the order.
  • Support critical customer situations and liaison with service and application staff to obtain the best solutions to maintain customer loyalty.
  • Establish professional relationships within the industry and partner with customers to support the sales process and further understand and anticipate their needs.
  • Conduct seminars and attend trade shows promoting GF Machining Solutions and Liechti as the leader in the industry.
  • National and international travel to other company locations, trade shows, and customers is required regularly to cultivate internal and external relationships.
  • Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume and performance in the assigned key account territory. Comply with additional reporting duties required by the Management and Head of Turbine Group consistent with sales management responsibilities.
  • This position has no subordinates.

Minimum Requirements

Profile
  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university in sales or business; and four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior sales experience, preferably in an engineering, aerospace, and/or machine tool environment.
  • Knowledge and proficient experience with Microsoft Office Systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with Sales Pad, CRM, Great Plains preferred.
  • The ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to develop business correspondence, reports, and spreadsheets. Ability to make presentations and to effectively communicate ideas, both written and verbal to management, customers, employees of the organization, dealers, and the general public.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret finance and budget statements, commercial contracts, and general office procedures. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, area, circumference, and volume. Applying fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

This position will require the employee to regularly travel to customer sites, trade shows, or other company locations domestically and internationally.
