Your tasks

- The Strategic Buyer is directly involved with the management of the upstream and downstream value-added flow and costs of materials/commodities as they relate to quality, delivery, inventory, innovation and cost. Establishes key metrics and performance measurements and is involved with project management of key products, programs, and/or suppliers.
Your profile

- Interfaces with Purchasing Commodity Buyers/Managers, Planners, Process Engineers, Quality Assurance, Negotiation & Agreement specialist(s), various Finance/Accounting personnel, Operations/Production personnel, and Suppliers.
- Responsible for the generation and sustainment of site PPV and VAVE either through individual, team or cross-functional involvement.
- Vendor Sub-Contract processes; BOM’s, Material Issuance and Flow.
- Utilizes GF Business System (SAP) reporting tools to extrapolate, analyze and interpret data to help assess and deliver results for both PPV and VAVE.
- Supports buying best by assuring best price and quality for all direct material items/commodities (Electronics; Chemicals; Packaging; Metals & Plastics; others) as assigned. Stays current on commodity trends in the marketplace.
