Main Tasks

- Drive expansion and growth of GF Machining Solutions products and services across the medical market segment.
- Identify and develop current and future medical programs and projects.
- Represent GF Machining Solutions as the recognized local expert in the medical market segment both internally and externally, understanding the politics, market dynamics, competitive dynamics, and key partners in the medical market segment.
- Strongly influence and optimize the future medical dedicated machine portfolio by creating opportunity reports for high-interest medical applications.
- Identify priority customers, initiate high-level contacts and develop relationships.
- Educate internal personnel on medical applications and GFMS solutions.
- Initiate technical presentations to be given verbally and in writing, including developing applications-specific sales packages.
- Ensure that resources are applied to the most attractive applications in medical and that already developed solutions are spread as broadly as possible.
- Collaborate with the sales team to leverage sales potential for new and future application solutions across all regions and customer groups.
- Continually develop technical expertise and assist in knowledge and experience transfer from one geographic region to another.
- Support sales efforts and needs (for new application solutions) with the respective investments.
- Support, coordinate and recommend implementation of strategic marketing initiatives and measure the results.
- Report U.S. medical market data and activities to colleagues in Switzerland regularly.
Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in mechanical or electrical engineering technology; and three to five years related experience and/or training, preferably in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. In-depth knowledge of EDM, Milling, Laser machines, and related products and equipment.
- Prior sales or program management experience and experience selling at the corporate/executive level.
- Formal training in project management and/or project management certification (PMP) is strongly preferred.
- Experience in validating processes in the medical industry required.
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Systems, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of project management software and Great Plains or similar software program helpful.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as processes and procedures, technical journals, legal documents, financial documents, and specific service reports and documents.
- Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills to effectively present ideas and solutions, written and verbal, to customers, management, and employees at all levels of an organization.
- Strong mathematical aptitude and the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages, interest, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Foreign languages such as Spanish, German and French are advantageous.
- Organized, self-motivated and tenacious with the ability to work autonomously to cold call and prospect customers.
