Your tasks

- In this diverse role, you will be part of our 10-person Innovation and Validation team and participate in key research and development activities in a pragmatic manner
- Establish optimal control parameters for milling spindles and motion axes targeting demanding surface finish quality and part geometry accuracy at maximal speed
- Validation of effectiveness, usefulness and usability of machining systems or their subsystems
- Perform experiments/tests on different machine tools or its components (thermal analysis or calibration, static/dynamic stiffness evaluation, mechanical or electrical performances, system evaluation…)
- Set-up different test equipment (Dasylab, Labview, Data loggers, CNC, scope, PC, …) to perform these experiments
- Pre-process and analyze resulting test data with tools like Matlab, Excel, Python…
- Report, present and discuss results with internal customers (project managers, Service, re-search engineer,…) in order to define next steps
- Further develop measuring equipment, measuring methods and test plans. In particular further develop automatic test framework and result repository
- Support Operations, Customer Service as well as customers with critical technical product is-sues (i.e. performing appropriate calibration tests, parameterization, analysis, etc.)
Your profile

- Multi years' experience in machine tool optimization and validation
- Completed basic training as mechanic or electro mechanics
- Further training as mechanical, software or electrical engineer FH or equivalent. Good grasp of control system modeling and tuning
- Multi years' experience in measuring systems in the field of machine tools
- Experience in programing (e.g. Matlab, C/C++, Java, Python, etc.)
- Good spoken and written German and English language skills
