Junior IT Business Analyst – Finance & Controlling (SAP)

As a Junior IT Business Analyst in our Finance & Controlling team, you’ll work on exciting topics at the intersection of hardware, software, and financial innovation.
You’ll be part of a global team responsible for shaping digital solutions around billing, subscription models, and financial compliance. With your SAP SD or SAP FICO knowledge (or eagerness to learn), you’ll help translate business needs into smart, scalable IT solutions. From hands-on system customization to collaborating on global projects, you’ll play a key role in building our future-ready SAP S/4HANA landscape (Private & Public Cloud).

As a Junior IT Business Analyst (Finance & Controlling IT), you’ll: Support global SAP transformation – helping shape our journey to S/4HANA across Finance & Controlling processes. Analyze and translate business needs – working closely with stakeholders to design IT solutions that drive efficiency and compliance. Collaborate across teams and borders – with internal users, IT experts, and external partners to deliver impactful solutions. Contribute to innovation – by identifying opportunities for process improvement and supporting initiatives that enhance business performance. Gain hands-on experience – in SAP SD and/or SAP FICO, including integration with external systems (e.g., e-billing, subscription billing, tax reporting). Bonus: If you’re familiar with ABAP debugging or curious to learn, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to deepen your technical skills.

The ideal candidate has a strong ability to acquire and apply new technical expertise quickly on assigned responsibilities. You should be using advanced tools and methods for gathering of facts including analytical methods to develop solutions scenarios. In addition, you can prepare decisions and actions based on deep understanding of our Hilti Business Model, specific product area and corresponding IT strategy & guidelines. We’re looking for someone curious, motivated, and ready to grow into the role. If you bring some of the following, we’d love to hear from you:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge or interest in SAP SD or SAP FICO – experience is a plus, but not a must. We’ll support your learning journey.
• A growth mindset – you’re very much eager to learn, develop your skills, and help others grow too.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a willingness to dive into technical topics like ABAP debugging (beneficial but not required).
• Strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and a customer-focused mindset.
• A desire to work in a global, virtual, and cross-functional team – collaborating across cultures and time zones.
