Your tasks

- Sales management - Lead the Singapore external sales team in achieving corporate sales and profitability objectives. Motivate and direct sales engineers to achieve annual sales growth targets by designing and implementing strong growth plans for Singapore. Shift approach from materials supplier to solution sales focus increasing value-add to our customers.
- Track sales performance through KPIs, prepare regular sales reports, and present insights and recommendations to senior management for continuous improvement.
- Champion the development of key accounts and major projects to secure wins together with team members. Expand GF Singapore market share within targeted market segments, identifying new product applications, adding new customers and winning over competitive accounts.
- Team Development & Coaching - Mentor and develop internal and external sales teams through continuous coaching, training, and implementation of individual development plans. Cultivate a performance-driven, customer-focused team culture.
- Ensure close collaboration between external sales and sales development teams to provide excellent service to the customers. Be engaged with the Sales Development Team Lead to review and improve pre-sales processes.
- Market campaigns Planning – Work closely with the marketing team to develop a strong annual marketing plan to actively promote GF as a value solutions partner to create new leads leading to sales growth in prioritized segments
Your profile

- - Bachelor's degree in Chemical/ Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- - A minimum of 3 years experience in a managerial sales role leading and developing a team of sales representatives
- - A minimum of 8 years experience in a sales role with proven track record in meeting or exceeding given sales targets
- - A good understanding of the various sales techniques (e.g. value-selling, strategic selling, etc) and able to effectively deploy within a sales team
- - Strategic thinker with a strong understanding of local market dynamics; able to develop and execute sales strategies
- - Proficiency in CRM software (MS Dynamics or Sales force) and MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
- - Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- - Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; preferably in a multinational corporation setting
- - Develop and execute well-defined sales strategies that align with corporate goals and market trends
- - Review and interpret sales and market data to make informed commercial and growth decisions
- - Understand the competitive landscape (the competitors), market trends (challenges and growth areas) and position the company’s solutions effectively
- - Explore and identify new business opportunities to expand company market share beyond existing applications and/or industries
- - Clear understanding of a typical industry sales cycle and provide reasonable forecast of the sales team’s funnel
- - Effectively negotiate contracts and/or deals with distributors and customers by understanding the costs structure of the deals including FX risks, freight charges and any other costs derived from commercial terms
- - Drive performance within the sales team by cultivating a learning and collaborative environment whilst keeping the team motivated through regular coaching and/or mentoring
