Sputtering Components Inc. (SCI) in Owatonna, MN, is seeking a highly motivated professional for the role of Project Manager / Order Fulfillment.

Every day, millions of people around the world come into contact with products made using Sputtering Components equipment. Our thin film technologies are used in vacuum coating systems to make windows, smartphones, display screens, solar panels, automobile components, decorative hardware and more.

Our company is seeking to hire a Project Manager / Order Fulfillment who will be responsible for ensuring that solutions delivered to our customers, are delivered on time, and of the upmost quality standard that has allowed SCI to become the global benchmark for rotary cathodes.

You will work within SCI Manufacturing and Fulfillment Team and report to the Director of Manufacturing. This is a supervisory position which leads team members consisting of service fulfillment and quality.

You will work within SCI Manufacturing and Fulfillment Team and report to the Director of Manufacturing. This is a supervisory position which leads team members consisting of service fulfillment and quality.

  • Ensures on-time delivery of projects and products
  • Communicates directly with customers on project status and inquiries directly associated with complex orders
  • Leads project ‘kick-off’ and fulfillment portion of JDI (Just-Do-It) meetings
  • Participates in design review and project hand-over meetings
  • Manages the quality standard for Level 2 and Level 3 projects based on engineering specifications
  • Manages and schedules service needs for project installation and commissioning. Provides service resources to address product related issues and provides product training/troubleshooting
  • Works closely with the SCI production engineering team to ensure that design releases are accurate and on schedule
  • Works with SCI sales to ensure critical delivery applications
  • Works with SCI production control resources for schedule updates and addresses potential schedule conflicts
  • Additional technical projects as assigned
  • 4-year technical degree and 3+ years’ experience in project management
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Must have great organizational skills and be able to multi-task across products and sites
  • Proven excellent written, verbal, and presentations skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Project), Solidworks experience a plus
  • Experience with industrial controls and automation is a plus
  • Must be able to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally
