The Staff Accountant supports all areas of the Accounting Department with a focus on fixed assets, prepaids and payroll, assists in the Corporate financial reporting process, various month end close activities, and provides support for various other accounting projects. The position will work directly with the accounting manager and will have exposure to various areas within the accounting and finance functions.

Your assignment:

  • Assist with the day-to-day, monthly and year-end operations of the Accounting Department, including fixed asset accounting.
  • Assist in preparing of the business unit (BU) monthly financial reporting
  • Maintain the fixed asset subledgers in SAP, ensuring accurate recording of purchases, disposals, and depreciation
  • Monitor capital expenditures vs. budget, ensure proper classification of capitalized assets and repairs and maintenance expenses and review related expenditures with the engineering and maintenance departments
  • Manage lease accounting, mainly consisting of auto lease, be point of contact for 3rd party lease administrator, manage employee and lease administrator communications
  • Process sales and use tax monthly filings, file property tax payments, etc.
  • Adapt to various ad-hoc projects essential to the Company’s reporting needs
  • All other duties assigned

Your background:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • CPA a plus
  • Proficiency in the use of software applications, databases, spreadsheets and word processing is required
  • Manufacturing industry experience a plus
  • SAP or similar ERP system experience a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Able to demonstrate attention to details and good-record-keeping
  • Team player and can collaborate with other functional areas in the organization
