Maintenance Engineering - Project Engineer (m/f/d)

The Project Engineer prepares schedules, coordinates and monitors all assigned engineering projects with regard to project timeline and budget and provides technical support to the production and maintenance team and beyond. The position holder ensures all equipment is operating correctly and fosters improvements.

Your assignment

  • Creates 3D models and engineering drawings for new parts, assemblies and equipment and designs plant layouts
  • Manages rebuilds of existing equipment and installation of new equipment
  • Manages multiple projects, coordinates tasks, tracks progress and adjusts project schedules/ timelines as needed based upon project requirements
  • Supports capital projects and field work
  • Coordinates vendors and contractors
  • Answers engineering inquiries from production and maintenance and provides technical support
  • Supports all departments engineering questions

Your background

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • Field of study: Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or other related Engineering/Technical degree
  • Fluent in English, oral & written
  • Any other language is a plus
  • 5+ Years’ Experience in related field required
  • Manufacturing or Steel industry experience a plus
  • Knowledgeable in SolidWorks and AutoCAD or other 3D CAD software
  • Experienced in project management, preferable in engineering/ production projects
  • Know-how in machine design
  • Knowledge of machining and hydraulics
  • Broad range of mechanical skills required
