Sales & Services International: With more than 70 locations in over 30 countries, our global presence allows us to provide our customers with local supply chain services. Most of our work consists in encapsulating the technical products of our mills into the services our customers require: local technical support, processing work such as cutting, milling, hardening, and just-in-time deliveries.

Your assignment

  • Support the worldwide legal entities of the Business Unit (BU) in the correct implementation of IT policies
  • Ensure that the group IT strategy and targets are known by local counterparts
  • Coordinate BU specific IT demands, understand and translate business needs
  • Propose possible IT solutions on the basis of existing solutions or develop new solutions taking the budget into account
  • Provide advice on IT organization improvements within the BU
  • Master the boundary between central IT contribution and local IT's scope of action, with a strong orientation on cost and service-efficiency balance
  • Gathering and channelling business requirements
  • Monitor IT demands for prioritization
  • Enforce compliance with IT policy within the Business Unit
  • Support Controlling to monitor global IT costs

Your background

  • Master’s degree in IT or a comparable qualification
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role
  • Very good German and English skills
  • Knowledge of additional foreign languages would be a plus
  • Ability to cope with change, motivate and inspire others and implement development programs
  • Excellent communication skills
